Boxing just got a big fight announced for Dec. 9th as Rougorou will look to defend his WBC belt against Devin Haney who will be moving up in weight in an attempt to become a two-weight world champion. Regis who is currently 29-0 is ranked #2 in the world at SuperLightweight originally from New Orleans Louisiana now fighting out of Houston Texas.
Haney who is also undefeated at 30-0 is undisputed at 135lbs with the IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO Lightweight World Championships on his resume after wins over George Kambosos Jr twice and a title defense last May against Ukrainian Boxing legend Vasyl Lomachenko.
The WBC World Championship fight will take place at the Chase Center in San Francisco and will be showcased on DAZN PPV. Both Regis and Haney are part of the new generation of boxing and are huge crowd favorites, with the fight taking place in the Bay Area fans are excited to see them compete for the Matchroom Boxing promotion under Eddie Hearn.
