Entering into the fight Saturday night in Las Vegas a lot of people felt Ramon Cardenas did not belong in the ring with one of the all time greats in Naoya Inoue, however it didn’t take long for fight fans and Inoue to learn that Cardenas was coming to fight and not just show up as an opponent.
In the 2nd round Ramon Cardenas used a left hook to drop Naoya Inoue to the canvas in a crazy bantamweight world title fight which evnetualy saw Inoue retain his superbantamweight championship with an 8th round KO over Cardenas. Combining for 752 shots the fight more than made up for the PPV fights held this weekend by Canelo alvarez and Devin Haney.
With the victory Inoue defended his undisputed championships and moved his record to a perfect 30-0 with 27 KO.
