Anderson Silva X Chris Weidman added to Jake Paul Boxing card

MMA icon Anderson Silva has announced he will be returning to the professional boxing ring against former UFC Middleweight champion Chris Weidman and that the fight will take place as part of the Jake Paul X Gervonta Davis event taking place at the Kaseya Center in Miami Florida,

“Anderson and his team approached me immediately after the Jake Paul X Tank Davis fight was announced and said they would like to be a part of the event and he would like to fight Chris Weidman” said Nakisa Bidarian who is the CEO and Co Founder of Most Valuable Promotions.  “Once it was clear that both men wanted it, and wanted it as a professional fight, MVP was 100% given the history between them, reaching a broader generational consumer base and enhancing the event’s marketability in Brazil.”

Silva who is now 50 years old will have an opportunity to avenge a loss to Weidman from his MMA career after suffering a KO loss and a broken leg to Weidman inside of the octagon.  Silva said he was excited for another battle with Cris.  The event which will take place November 14th will be shown live on Netflix will be a 6 round fight.  Anderson Silva is currently 3-2 competing as a professional boxer while this will be Chris Weidman’s first professional boxing fight.
