Muhammad Mokaev might just be the best fighter at his weigh tin the world, but the undefeated star seems like he might not be waiting for a return to the UFC much longer. Fans where shocked when Mokaev was released from he UFC after a win over Manel Kape in 2024 with rumors making it appear like Mokaev had issue with personality or discipline while in the UFC.
Ultimately Mokaev said that he had been warned in regards to his heavy wrestling style. Moving to Brave CF and Karate Combate Mokaev has continued to improve scoring a head kick KO over Gerard Burns for the Brave CF Flyweight belts, following that up with another KO win at Karate Combat.
It now appears that Mokaev might be sizing a potential matchup with former UFC and Bellator MMA star Sergio Pettis who is the younger brother of former UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis. Mokaev shared a video Sergio Pettis from 11 years ago stating that the PFL could make the fight happen it would be the biggest fight outside the UFC.
Mokaev is 16-0 in his career with a perfect 7-0 in the UFC. Pettis left the UFC in 2020 and has gone 9-5 outside the organization. Do you think we will see this matchup in PFL MMA?
