This weekend mixed martial arts legend Cris Cyborg will continue to write another chapter in her historic Combat Sports Career. Exactly 20 years; from the day, of her first professional MMA fight, Cris Cyborg is set to celebrate the anniversary with a 6 round professional boxing fight at 155lbs against top 20 World ranked female boxer Precious Harris McCray (4-1 3ko).

Reuniting with longtime promoter Scott Coker and MMA fighter Gilbert Melendez 17x MMA Champion Cris Cyborg will be the Co Main Event of the mixed combat Fight Night 3 event which takes place this Saturday May 17th, 2025 in San Jose CA at the Tech CU arena. Cris Cyborg is the current PFL MMA Featherweight champion and is looking to become the first fighter to hold World Championship belts in MMA and Boxing at the same time. A win over the top regarded Precious Harris McCray could set up a mega fight between MMA mega champion Cris Cyborg and the first unified champion in Women’s boxing and WBC Champion Cecilia Braekhus later this winter.

In preparation for this fight Cris Cyborg spent time in Burien Washington under head coach Jose Benavidez Sr at the Benavidez training camp. Jose Benavidez Sr is the father of World Champion sons David Benavidez and Jose Benavidez jr.

Cris Cyborg had this to say about her return to the boxing ring Saturday night, “I know Precious Harris McCray is a tough and hungry fighter. I treated her with all the respect by training hard and doing a real fight camp with a real boxing team because I know MMA is not Boxing. I am looking forward to showing the world that I can be a World Champion in professional boxing.”
