Brazilian legend Jennifer Maia has 12 UFC fights before her return to Invicta FC however the Chute Boxe star got another win for her historic career by defeating Mayra Cantuaria as the main event of Invicta FC 56 live on CBS Sports. Maia is now 22-10 with the victory and has placed herself as the #1 contender for the promotion.
The Co main event featured Brazilian Valesca Machado who beat Yulia Ostroverkhova other winners included Jackie Cataline, Kate Bacik, Ana Palacios, Giulliany Perea Viera, Ali Pellegrini, Ashley Barret. Invicta FC is an all female mixed martial arts promotion that has had many of the top fighters in the sport of female mixed martial arts including Cris Cyborg, Amanda Nunes, Thug Rose, Carla Esparza and more.
With the victory it was announced Jennifer Maia will fight fellow brazilian Talita Bernardo for the Invicta FC Championship. Cyborg who is a former Invicta FC Champion will return to MMA Oct. 19th as the Co Main Event of PFL Super Fight league when she faces 2x PFL Champion Larissa Pacheco for the inaugural PFL Superfight belt.
