Jake Paul is officially no longer considered an influencer turned boxer now that he has entered the world rankings in the cruiserweight division following this win over former Middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez to improve to 12-1 with 7Ko’s as a pro. The Boxer who does social media is now eligible to challenge for a WBA cruiserweight championship if he is able to secure a contract with Champion Gilberto Zurdo Ramirez.
The WBA had suggested a win over Chavez was going to place him in the ranking however following the victory it is now a fact as Jake Paul punched a stale Julio Cesar Chavez Jr winning a 10 round decision in front of a near capacity crowd inside the Honda Center in Anaheim California. Paul moved one place ahead of the 20-0, 20 KO’s Craig Parker of the USA who has fought at Heavyweight and is currently listed behind Giovanini Cristiane Scuderi who hasn’t fought at cruiserweight since 2022.
Do you think Jake Paul will eventually challenge for a world championship in professional boxing? Cris Cyborg who was in attendance at the Jake Paul fight and is currently undefeated while competing as a boxer at 7-0 has an opportunity to compete for a boxing world championship after her most recent victory over Precious Harris McCray she has moved into the world ranking top 10 as a professional boxer making a possible world championship fight against Cecilia Braekhus a possibility in 2026.
