Fans have been wanting to see what the plans are for Francis Ngannou for sometime, and if the rumors are true, it seems that things are starting to heat up for his potential trip into the boxing ring now that he is officially a PFL fighter in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. While Nobody has officially been named as his first opponent, gossip in the sport has stated that Tyson Fury the Heavyweight King of Boxing might actually be an opponent.
Speaking to Boxing Social and shared by Oscar Willis,“Eddie Hearn on Fury vs. Ngannou next: ‘This is what I’ve heard. It’ll be an exhibition apparently. No knockdowns or anything. I’m only telling you what I’ve heard, who knows what’s what, but I think that is apparently what is going to be the next fight.'” While Eddie Hearn is the head of Matchroom Boxing it would appear he would have a beat on the pulse of the gossip.
Francis Ngannou stated he wanted the ability to Box outside of his UFC contract amongst other things before ultimately leaving the UFC as undisputed Heavyweight World Champion before a bout against Jon Jones could materialize. Similar to Cris Cyborg who has competed in two professional boxing fight since her departure from the UFC, Francis Ngannou also stated respect as a reason for testing his MMA free agency. What do you say Cyborg Nation will we see an exhibition match between Ngannou and Fury next? Would that excite you?
