I have spent more than two decades competing at the highest level of combat sports. One lesson fighting has taught me is that long-term results rarely come from one perfect moment. They come from consistent preparation and disciplined execution.

I approach Bitcoin accumulation with a similar mindset.

One strategy I have learned about is Dollar Cost Averaging, or DCA.

What Is Bitcoin DCA?

Dollar Cost Averaging means investing a predetermined amount of money at regular intervals instead of trying to predict the perfect time to buy.

For example, someone might decide to invest $100 into Bitcoin every week. When Bitcoin’s price is higher, that $100 buys less Bitcoin. When the price falls, the same $100 buys more Bitcoin.

Over time, the investor accumulates Bitcoin at a range of prices rather than making one large purchase based on an attempt to perfectly time the market.

Investor.gov describes DCA as investing equal portions at regular intervals regardless of market movements.

Why DCA Makes Sense to Me

Bitcoin can be extremely volatile. Trying to determine the exact bottom or top can create a psychological battle that is difficult even for experienced investors.

DCA changes the question.

Instead of asking, “Is today the perfect day to buy Bitcoin?”, you establish a long-term accumulation plan and focus on following it.

That reminds me of training for a championship fight.

I don’t become a world champion because of one great day in the gym. I become a champion because I show up thousands of times, execute the plan and continue improving.

Bitcoin accumulation can work the same way.

The objective isn’t necessarily to predict every short-term move. The objective is to consistently build your position according to a strategy you can maintain.

Of course, DCA does not eliminate investment risk, and Bitcoin remains a highly speculative and volatile asset.

Think Long Term

My approach to Bitcoin is focused on education, conviction and a long-term perspective.

I believe Bitcoin is important enough to study, not simply buy.

That’s one reason I am excited about Bitcoin 2027 in Nashville, Tennessee, taking place July 15–17, 2027, at Music City Center. The event brings together Bitcoin investors, entrepreneurs, executives, builders and leaders from across the Bitcoin industry.

If you are interested in learning more about Bitcoin, Bitcoin investing, Bitcoin accumulation strategies, or the future of the Bitcoin economy, being around thousands of other people studying the same technology can be valuable.

I will be sharing my Bitcoin journey and encouraging people to educate themselves rather than simply following the crowd.

For me, DCA represents something bigger than an investment technique.

It represents discipline.

You don’t have to predict every round to win a fight. You have to prepare, execute and stay committed to the long-term objective.

I believe building Bitcoin exposure can be approached with the same philosophy.

Study. Plan. Accumulate. Stay disciplined. Think long term.

And just like training for a championship, consistency can be more powerful than trying to find the perfect moment.
