Jairzinho Rozenstruik knockout out UFC veteran Rakim Cleveland to become the inagural Dirty Boxing Championship Heavyweight champ. A longtime UFC veteran Rozenstruik knocked Cleveland out at 1:54 of the first round with a solid 3-2 combination as an orthodox fighter against his southpaw opponent. The opening minute of the fight was a slow process with both fighters circling before a big exchange started the action with Cleveland on his Blackfoot and KO’d shortly after.
After the win Rozenstruik stayed in the ring while former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski entered to challenge him for the newly won DBX Heavyweight belt presumably at DBX 4. The Co Main event featured another violent finish as Hector Lombard was dropped in just 19 seconds by James Cannon leaving Lombard sprawled out on the canvas with the crowd in shock over the upset loss.
Bryan Battle who most recently was released by the UFC for not making weight, finally addressed those issues making 186 pounds for his DBX debut making quick work of Derik De Freitas in a bout that was a clear mismatch. WMMA standout Jessica Rose Clark picked up a win over Claudia Zamora via a decision as well.
