Cris Cyborg is the winningest Featherweight of all time having won Championship belts in Strikeforce, Invicta, UFC, and Bellator MMA in the 145lbs division. Recognized as the sports only Grand Slam Champion by holding every professional belt in the Featherweight division during some point of her career Cris Cyborg has fought hard to build the division and opportunities for other women athletes.
Kayla Harrison who won the inaugural 155lbs PFL tournament last year, recently competed in a Featherweight super fight for the Invicta FC promotion picking up a win in her debut at the weight class. Scheduled to return on ESPN for the PFL 2021 tournament, Kayla Harrison is set to compete in the PFL Women’s Lightweight tournament for a second time, before becoming a Free Agent at the end of the season.
Cyborg who has never fought at 155lbs professionally, sat with James Lynch during The Catch Up and told him that if Kayla Harrison is able to win the 155lbs tournament that she would like the chance to go up in weight before the end of her career and help build the heavier division for women athletes looking to compete.
