Cris Cyborg has proven herself in just about every combat sport she has ever been a part of. The current PFL MMA Champion has 17 World Championship (Strikeforce, Invicta FC, UFC, Bellator MMA, PFL) victories on her MMA resume along with 2 IBJJ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Championships. If the 20 year combat sport veteran has her dreams wish, before everything is done she will add Boxing World Champion to her resume as well.
Currently undefeated at 7-0 while competing in Boxing, Cyborg is ranked 6th in the world by BOXREC after her recent 2nd round KO win against Precious Harris McCray in San Jose. Cyborg who is expected to return to Mixed Martial Arts and defend her PFL MMA Championship belt against #1 contender Sara Collins before the end of 2025.
While Cris Cyborg has moved into 6th in the BoxRec rankings, it should be noted that WBC Champion Ema Kozin is set to face Cecilia Braekhus Oct. 3rd after which both of them would be expected to return to the rankings with their removal only having occurred because of passing 1 year of professional boxing inactivity.
With a win by Cecilia Braekhus over Ema Kozin October 3rd in Norway there has been some speculation that we could see a long awaited Cris Cyborg X Cecilia Braekhus crossover mega boxing fight where Cyborg would have a chance to compete for a world title in professional boxing and an opportunity at making history as the only fighter in the history of combat sports to hold a Boxing and MMA World Championship at the same time.
