It appears that Jon Jones legacy fight at heavyweight against the UFC GOAT Stipe Miocic is at the very least going to be delayed. Dana White broke the news on Sical Media that Jon Jones who was set to fight former UFC Heavyweight legend Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 Nov. 11th in New York had sustained a torn pectoral tendon which will require surgery and around 8 months of rehab.
Moving forward, the UFC promoted a vacant Light Heavyweight fight between former champion Jiri Prochazka and former Middle weight champion Alex Pereira who are now pumped into the main event while an interim UFC heavyweight title fight between Tom Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich was announced.
No immediate news about Stipe Miocic was announced however he is no longer scheduled to compete on the card instead electing to wait until a championship fight with Jon Jones can be made. Rumor is that Jones Vs Miocic will happen on a big card in 2024 sometime.
