Tuesday Afternoon inside a hot and dry gym in Huntington Beach Ca, Cris Cyborg put on an open workout for members of the media showcasing just how ready she is for her upcoming debut in Professional Boxing. Despite being the only MMA Grand Slam Champion in the sport, Cyborg will be stepping into the boxing ring for the first time to face former World Title Contender Simone Silva as the Co Main event of FMS 2 as she looks to win the promotions professional Super Welterweight belt against a Veteran of over 40 professional fights and almost 300 rounds of pro boxing experience.
Journalist from ESPN, FightHub, MMA Fighting, Associated Press, and the Orange County Register made an appearance as more than 30 total members of media showed up for the training session which included a DJ, catered food, and an appearance from the Bellator MMA Featherweight Grand Prix champion AJ Mckee who will be stepping up to lightweight Oct. 1st as he competes at Bellator MMA in Long Beach California.
