Cris Cyborg returns to the PFL MMA Cage and will be making history in Lyon France when she competes for her 20th World Championship. Cyborg who is a 17x MMA Champion will be facing 10x Australian National Judo Team member Sara Collins who is currently undefeated in the sport of MMA at 6-0 and earned her fight against Cris Cyborg after a dominate performance against former Bellator MMA number 1 contender Leah McCourt.
Cyborg who will be facing Sara Collins for the Professional Fighters League 145lbs women’s Featherweight Championship captured the PFL MMA Superfight belt last year when she defeated former 2x PFL MMA Tournament Champion Larissa Pacheco by 5 round decision.
Cyborg who has crossed over into professional Boxing is currently ranked 6th in the world at 154lbs and will be returning to MMA looking to capture the PFL MMA promotional championship to add along to her collection of belts that already includes the PFL MMA Superfight, Bellator MMA, UFC, Invicta FC, and Strikeforce championships on her resume. With 5 promotional championship belts Cris Cyborg has scored more World Championship victories than any other male or female fighter in Mixed Marital Arts.
Cyborg and Sara Collins faced each other for the first time in Lyon France in front of the Ancient Theatre of Fourviere, a grand theatre once owned by the Roman Empire. Cyborg will face Sara Collins live on Saturday morning in the USA on the ESPN App and on Canal Combate in Brazil. With over 10,000 tickets sold to the event, fans are expecting a sellout crowd in Lyon France Saturday night!
