Cris Cyborg made history as the first professional MMA fighter to capture 5 promotional championships when she defeated 2x PFL Tournament champion Larissa Pacheco to capture the PFL MMA Super Fight featherweight championship as the Co Main event of the Professional Fighters League Pay Per View held in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. Currently holding the Bellator MMA Featherweight Championship and previously being UFC, Invicta FC, and Strikeforce Champion, Cris Cyborg is recognized as one of the best female combat sports athletes of all time.
Currently in her hometown of Curitiba Brazil, Cyborg was invited to attend the Legislative Assembly in the Brazilian State of Parana where she presented Deputy of State Alexandre Curi and two term State of Paranaque Representative Alexandre Amaro with her PFL Championship belt.
Cyborg who is recognized in Parana and Curitiba as one of the greatest professional athletes from the region had this to say about the opportunity, “It was a pleasure to be recognized by the state of Parana government, and I look forward to seeing the Professional Fighter’s League expand into Latin America LATAM region, as we have so many talented fighters that could use the platform to showcase their skills.”
With only 2 fights remaining in her ‘legacy tour’ in MMA, do you think we will see PFL put on an event in Brazil before MMA’s only 5 promotional 17x World Champion Cris Cyborg retires?
