Big John McCarthy says Merab Dvalishvili was out twice against Ricky Simon

Big John McCarthy is the authority when it comes to UFC referring having essentially created the position from the beginning of the development of the sport he has a great understanding of the concepts, interpretations and implementing of the rules within the sport.

At UFC FN 128 in Atlantic City by far one of the most controversial fight endings came at exactly 5 minutes of the third round when the fight was effectively called a TKO by the UFC Ref.  While BJM later went on to say that it should have been ruled a submission victory instead of TKO, he did support the ref’s ruling in that Merab Dvalishvili was not able to be saved by the bell and rendered unconscious at the conclusion of the bout.
