Terrible news for fans watching AJ McKee in the LightWeight Grand Prix as he was scheduled to face Patricky Pitbull in the Semi Finals of the Bellator MMA 1 million dollar light weight tournament.
As a solution Rizin FF and Bellator MMA called an press conference and announced Roberto De Souza the Rizin FF Lightweight Champion who had a close fight against AJ McKee during the first cross promotion event, however he will face Patricky Freire in a catchweight of 161 pounds.
With the last minute change, De Souza will not put his Rizin FF Lightweight belt on the line, however he will take AJ Mckee’s place in the tournament should he win, while AJ McKee will now serve as an alternate in the million dollar Grand Prix.
Fans can watch the Bellator MMA portion of the fights live on SHOWTIME Saturday night Showtime will also be promoting the biggest fight in Boxing as Errol Spence faces Bud Crawford in Las Vegas while Rizin Japan occurs.
