Invicta FC fighter breaks the internet with nasty injury

This picture came straight out of the ‘work hazard’ pages of the Invicta FC employees manual when Bantamweight Julia Avila faced off against Marciea Allen for her first fight with Invicta FC. Despite entering into the Invicta FC 29 cage undefeated with a win over UFC Champion Ricco Montano, Avilla suffered a TKO loss when her finger fracture broke through the skin and exposed raw bone to the crowd!

The fight against Marciea Allen was ruled a TKO loss at only 49 seconds of the first round when Avila was unable to continue. With the win The Black Widow, Maciea Allen improved her professional record to 7-2. The 36 year old had one prior fight with the Invicta FC promotion, a submission loss to Jessamyn Duke at Invicta FC 3. Allen also has a loss against top ranked Ashlee Evans Smith who is currently with the UFC.

“Hey guys, I’m in the hospital,” Avila said. “I’m doing fine. If it were up to me, they would just cut off the finger and I would keep fighting, but this is what happened. I’m sorry. And I’ll be back soon. Love you guys. Thank you.”
