Adrien Broner came into this fight in a must win situation. Making his first fight in 2018 Broner entered the ring against Jesse Vargas in a non title fight taking place at a 144 pound catchweight inside the Barclays Center- the site of Conor McGregor’s infamous bus attack in Brooklyn New York.

Adrien Broner is a former four division champion who took a one sided beatdown by Mikey Garcia last July. Vargas who is 28-2 was a world champion in two different weight classes was trying to secure a fight with Keith Thurman until Thurman decided he wanted to face someone else. Vargas has lost to Tim Bradley and Manny Pacquiao on his way to winning two of his last four fights.
Adrien Broner and Jesse Vargas combined to throw more than 1200 punches heading into the start of the 12th round. The bout was back and forth with both fighters having 5 rounds each on most peoples score cards heading into the 10th round, and the two fighters moving forward in the last two rounds. When the final score cards where read, the result was Adrien Broner Vs. Jesse Vargas as a majority Draw
