Roger Huerta made his UFC debut in 2006 going 6-0 with the promotion before losing back-to-back fights against Gray Maynard and Kenny Florian and leaving the company. As a Free Agent Huerta was one of the first high profile fighters to leave the UFC.

Signing with Bellator Fighting Championship Huerta went 0-2 in the promotion losing to both Pat Curran and Eddie Alvarez before becoming a Free Agent again, signing with several Southeast Asian MMA promotions, Huerta made his return last night to Bellator at Bellator 196 against Ben Henderson in Budapest Hungary.
Benson Henderson won the first round showing his standup skills against Huerta who has been training in Thailand for the better part of a decade. After an exciting first round, Henderson secured a quick guillotine submission in the 2nd round to pick up the victory. With the win Ben Henderson improved his record to 25-8 and 2-3 inside the Bellator cage.
