
Fans of Mixed Marital Arts lost a good one as news that MMA sports broadcast and reporting pioneer Jordan Breen has passed away. In the startup of MMA reporting there are few who have had the presence, longevity, and integrity of Jordan Breen. When other sports like Boxing Basketball, or Football was being featured on ESPN and Sports Center it was a core of dedicated journalist and commentary that documented the early history of Mixed Martial Arts.
Jordan Breen’s commentary and analysis covered so many of the challenges and triumphs of my career, and those of many other fighters —he did this while documenting the history of MMA with integrity and knowledge.

An original reporter to the Sherdog website during it’s premier run as an MMA news media outlet, Jordan Breen was considered one of the smartest Mixed Martial Arts minds having worked as a color commentator for Strikeforce and serving in some capacity on leading sites such as ESPN, Bloody Elbow, Sherdog and more.
Cris Cyborg took time on her X to call for the UFC to look at the addition of Jordan Breen into the UFC Hall of Fame as a memorial of an important contributor to the sport. Others who made posts of tribute included Ariel Helwani, Luke Thomas, and Eugene Casey Leydon who all worked closely with Breen in the MMA media space.
