Olympic Gold Medalist Henry Cejudo made his return to competitive wrestling with RAF 6 in Phoenix Arizona when he faced former WEC Champion Urijah Faber. A former 2 division UFC Champion Henry Cejudo won the gold medal in the olympics in 2008 at the young age of 19 after having not competed in wrestling since 2015. Urijah Faber is a UFC Hall of Famer who wrestled at UC Davis before transitioning to MMA.
Now 46 and retired from MMA since 2019 Faber has had several grappling bouts including combat grappling bout before making his RAF debut. Cejudo officially defeated Urijah Fabe 11-0 in the 3rd period before calling out Merab Dvalishvili who was also in attendance.
The co Main event of RAF 6 featured a lively battle between UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan and former collegiate wrestler turned social media sensation Georgio Poullas. 3-0 in grappling matches this year and building of a dominant win over Lance Palmer at RAF 5 Tsarukyan was looking to keep the win streak in tact against former Ohio State high school wrestling champion and Cleveland State college wrestler Georgio Poullas.
Poullas and Arman end the first round 2-1 for Arman before Period 2 ends with a 4-1 score and in the third period 5-3 with the decision going to ARman Tsarukyan. Other winners at RAF 6 included Aljamain Sterling over Benson Henderson, David Carr over Bubba Jenkins, Givi Matcharashvilli over Stephen Buchanan, Jami Gusman over Verest Leydecker, Tajmuraz Salkazanov defeated Keegan O’Toole, Evan Wick Tech Fall M Kadimagomedov, Zahid Valencia defeated Mahmoud Fawzy Sebie, Jordan Oliver Defeated Beau Bartlett, Keelon Jamison with a win over Clay Guida and Andrew Alvarez victorious over Bryce Meredith.
