June 1st Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal are going to fight once again, however this time instead of it taking place inside of a cage under Mixed Martial Arts rules the fight will take place inside a boxing ring under boxing rules inside the Kia Forum in Inglewood California.
The bout which is scheduled to take place at 175lbs is contracted for 10 rounds of action and is being distributed by “Fanmio” being billed as “Last Man Standing.” Diaz and Masvidal are two of the UFC’s biggest stars.
Both MMA free agents Diaz faced Jake Paul last August losing a decision in his boxing debut while Masvidal will be making his combat sports return after a loss to Gilbert Burns. Masvidal beat Diaz at UFC 244 when a ringside physician stopped the fight due to a cut.
Fans of MMA are starting to see their sports stars compete in professional boxing. Current Bellator MMA Champion and MMA Grand Slam Champion Cris Cyborg returns to the ring on April 27th as the main event of Green Bay Fight Night taking place in Green Bay Wisconsin.
