Fanmio’s inaugural event atleast from the outside appeared to be a success as the promotion claimed over 18,000 tickets had been sold and that the crowd was a sell out inside of the Honda Center in Anaheim California. While the event only took place on the 6th of July, today Nate Diaz has filed a lawsuit for breach of contract and failure to pay 10 million dollars.
A copy of the lawsuit was reported by TMZ sports and MMA Junkie which shows that Diaz filed in the US district court of Miami stating that Fanmio CEO and founder Solomon Engel was unwilling to pay the remaining 10 million dollars agreed upon for his participation in a bout against Jorge Masvidal.
Diaz’s lawsuit goes into details as the his guaranteed payout claiming that the promoter advised the money was in a third party account waiting for the fight completion for payment. At this time Jorge Masvidal has not spoken on the incident and there has been no comment from Solomon Engel.
Cris Cyborg is currently undefeated in professional boxing since crossing over to the sport, picking up a win in her last boxing performance via 2nd round KO over the previously undefeated Aria Wild in London England with Crypto Fight Night.
