Cris Cyborg was the first Brazilian female fighter to be recognize as Invicta Fighting Championship when she defeated Marloes Coenen to capture the Invicta FC Championship belt at 145lbs. Cyborg who went on to become MMA’s only Grand Slam Champion with belts with Invicta, UFC, Bellator MMA, and Strikeforce on her resume. Cyborg will face 2x PFL Champion Larissa Pacheco Oct. 19th as the Co Main Event of PFL PPV Super Fight Series.
Lili Ferreira from Congonhal Minas Gerais become the most recent Brazilian WMMA fighter to capture gold in the all women’s Invicta FC promotion this weekend when she defeated fellow Brazilian Adressa Romero to become he atom weight champion.
Fighting in Cris Cyborg’s Mixed Combat promotion Nacao Cyborg, Ferreira went 2-0 in the promotion with wins over Keismilyn Shayene and a championships performance against Maria Ribeiro. Following becoming NCF Champion Lili lost in the PAWFC event in Canada before officially signing with Invicta FC where she is currently 4-0.
