Liz Carmouche just keeps proving she is getting better with time. The PFL Flyweight Tournament champion has booked her first fight of 2026 as she will be the Co Main event of the PFL’s debut in San Diego when the promotion heads to the Pechanga Arena June 27th
Carmouch who is riding a 3 fight winning streak will face fellow UFC veteran, former top 10 ranked Viviane Araujo as she returns home to “San Diego” to face the Brazilian. For Araujo she will be looking to build momentum after scoring her first PFL win with a decision victory over Shanna Young.
Carmouche who fought for the inaugural UFC belt at Bantamweight against Ronda Rousey has really established herself as one of the all time greats in the flyweight 125lbs division bouncing back from her only loss in the PFL with a spectacular performance during the 2026 flyweight tournament which included a knockout over the ADCC grappling veteran Jena Bishop in the finals.
Carmouche left the UFC in 2019 and has gone 12-1 during that streak. 42 years of age she is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. 7-0 in Bellator MMA and 5-1 in PFL MMA fans are anxious to see the standout fighter face Dakota Ditcheva when the PFL introduces their flyweight world championship belt. PFL San Diego will be headlined by Long Beach local AJ Mckee who will face the unbeaten Salamat Isbulaev
