Boxing was back with a MEGAFIGHT this past weekend as Showtime Boxing put on DavisGarcia a matchup of two of the sports unbeaten as Gervonta Davis faced off against Ryan Garcia. In the end it was ShoSports fighter Gervonta Davis with Al Haymon who stole the show securing a 7th round KO over the DAZN Golden Boy star Ryan Garcia after dropping him in the 2nd.
Gervonta Davis used impressive power punching and counter strikes to time Ryan Garcia in the 2nd round by dipping under a left hook and landing a counter punch of his own that put Ryan Garcia on the floor before landing a bodyshop that caused a delayed reaction and then prevented Garcia from getting back to his feet giving the 23-0 fighter his first loss.
In the Co Main event David Morrell picked up a KO win over Yamaguchi Falcao in the 1st round before calling out David Benavidez while Bektemir Melikuziev secured a decision win over Gabriel Rosado. Other winers on the night included Elijah Garcia, Fiodor Czekaszyn, Vito Mielnicki Jr, Floyd Schofield, Lorenzo Simpson, Jalil Major Hackett, and Cutting Oliver.
Who would you like to see Gervonta Davis fight next? Many fans want to see the winner of Devin Haney Vs Vasyl Lomachenko or Shakur Stevenson get the opportunity to challenge the “new face of Boxing”
