Fabio Wardley X Joseph Parker set for Boxing Heavyweight clash

Fabio Wardley and Joseph Parker have both made weight ahead of their WBO Interim Championship fight taking place tomorrow night in the O2 Arena in London England.  Parker who is 36-3 weighed in lighter than his previous fight against Martin Bakole stepping in on the official scales at 262.2 pounds. Fabio Wardley is now 19-0 with 18 KO’s and officially stepped on the scales at 242.7 pounds.  Fabio Wardley did not seem to concerned about the difference in weight as he was quoted to say, “This means everything. This is the one bearer the one, A big night coming up tomorrow.” as Wardley was referring the the Interim World Title fight which would lead to undisputed WBO World Champion with a victory.

The winner of the interim WBO championship will be next in line to fight Oleksandr Usyk if he returns to boxing in 2026.  A fight against Usyk could potentially be worth 30 million or more.  For Joseph Parker this is going to be an important fight.  After impressive fights against Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder he will be facing a younger fighter in Wardley who will be hunting for the KO.

Wardley most recently KO’d Justis Huni in a come from behind victory and will be looking to step himself in line for career high paydays.  The fight which will be a PPV event in the USA on DAZN is yet another heavyweight fight that does not involve any American.  With TKO and Zuffa Boxing attempting to make changes to the Ali reform Act do you think we could potentially see a return to the American heavyweight in the sport of Boxing?
