David Benavidez might just be the best Mexican Boxer of this generation.  With a 6th round stoppage over Gilberto Zurdo Ramirez The Mexican Monster picked up the WBA and WBO cruiserweight world titles in front of a sold out Tmobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Benavidez now 32-0 moved up to his third different weight division to become World Champion and became the first fighter to ever capture world titles at Super Middleweight, Light Heavyweight, and Cruiserweight.  Benavidez entered the ring at 200 pounds and looked sensational.  This fight came on the heals of his 7th round TKO victory over Anthony Yarde last November.

Ramirez was looking to defend his two world title belts however the much faster, stronger Benavidez landed punishing combinations that hurt the body and head of Zurdo before a crashing hand fractured the orbital bone of Zurdo giving Benavidez the TKO victory in Las Vegas.

Co main event featured Mexican Boxing fan favorite Jaime Munguia win the WBA Super Middleweight title with a decision over Jose Armando Resendiz.  The fight was pretty widespread on the judges score cards with 117-111, 119-109 and 120-108 cards given.

Cris Cyborg trains with Jose Benavidez Sr the head coach of Benavidez Boxing team.  Cyborg recently made history as the first combat sports athlete to win a world title in professional boxing and MMA at the same time.  Cyborg is expected to return to MMA to defend her PFL World Championship before looking to unify her WIBA world title with one of the WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF belts
