Darren Till has officially taken off the gloves. After transitioning from the UFC to Misfits Boxing, Darren Till will now take the gloves off as he announced he is now fighting for the BKFC promotion with an expected debut May 30th. Darren Till will make his BKFC debut at BKFC 90 taking place in Birmingham England a tthe Utilita Arena when he will face influencer boxer and BKFC veteran Aaron Chalmers. Darren Till has won 4 consecutive fights since leaving the UFC including a BKFC KO win over former UFC Champion Luke Rockhold last August. Darren Till was hesitant about joining the bare knuckle boxing promotion, however he told Yahoo that the promotion simply made an offer that he could not refuse. “I have to just say, the reason Bare knuckle happened is because I couldn’t turn down the offer, it excited me. It was irrefusable. It got me juices flowing. It’s a tough old sport from what I’ve been watching. It is tough. These guys, they’re not your traditional martial artists. They’re all just very gritty, hard punching guys. So you’ve got to com ein here with a different type of mentality, which we will be doing.”
Aaron Chalmers is a reality TV star who took up MMA in 2017 racking up a 5-2 record competing for top promotions such as BAMMA and Bellator MMA before venturing into the boxing and BKFC world. Chalmers last BKFC fight was a TKO win over Chas Symonds at BKFC 72 last year. Darren Till is an experience Muay Thai fighter and will have a significant advantage when it comes to quality of opponents over the course of his combat sports carrer.
