Cris Cyborg has arrived in Curitiba Brazil ahead of her main event on the Nacao Cyobrg 15 event taking place in Espaco Winners, Piraquara Brazil just outside of her hometown of Curitiba.
Cyborg who is undefeated while competing as a boxer at 8-0 will be fighting for her first Boxing World Championship when she faces veteran fighter Paulina Cardona of Colombia for the vacated WIBA World Championship Belt.
WIBA is one of the most prestigious belts in the history of Women’s Boxing with former champions including names such as Laila Ali, Holly Holm, and Amanda Serrano.
With a win over Paulina Cardona Cris Cyborg has an opportunity to become the first fighter in Combat Sports to hold a major belt in MMA and Boxing simultaneously.
Cyborg is expected to make her return to MMA later this summer in a superfight for PFL MMA where she will defend her featherweight world title.
