Cris Cyborg, one of the biggest stars in all of Combat Sports continues her journey into the sport of Professional Boxing this Friday as she is the main event of World Fighting Championships taking place inside the Pechanga Casino in Temecula California, Cris Cyborg will be facing a former amateur champion who is currently undefeated as a professional in Boxing and ranked #3 in the USA.
Cyborg who spent 6 weeks focusing only on her Boxing training with head coach Jose Benavidez Sr spent the training camp in Seattle Washington with Team Benavidez. Cyborg who went 2-0 competing in the sport of Professional boxing in 2022 before making a return to the sport of MMA to defeat Cat Zingano by first round KO at Bellator 300 last November.
Cyborg who has been vocally seeking an MMA bout against Judo Kayla, decided to return to the sport of Boxing when Kayla declined a fight offer for the upcoming PFL X Bellator MMA Superfight card taking place Feb. 24th in Saudi Arabia. Cris Cyborg is the only Grand Slam Champion in the sport of MMA after winning Championship belts with Bellator MMA, UFC, Invicta FC, and Strikeforce.
