 
                
                                
            Bryan Battle has been an exciting fighter and proven himself as a fan favorite despite his recent problems with managing his weight effectively. Following a missed weight cut to 185lbs Bryan Battle was released by the UFC after he failed to make weight for his UFC 319 fight against Nursulton Ruziboev. Weighing in at 190 he was more than 4 pounds over the contracted 186 pound weight limit and was released from the Ultimate fighting championship following.
Taking a short notice fight following his release Bryan Battle took a fight at 185lbs and made weight for the Dirty Boxing Promotions which is a hi bred striking league that allows limited Ground and Pound, elbow strikes, and clench punching in smaller 4oz gloves. Defeating Derik De Freitas with a dominate showing, fans got to see the skills Bryan Battle holds when he enters the ring.
Battle who won the middleweight ultimate fighter season 29 in 2021 switched between multiple weight categories missing weight excessively on more than one occasion.  Currently on a two fight win streak, with 9 fights in the UFC Bryan Battle announced he has signed with the Professional Fighter League and is expected to compete in the PFL MMA tournament next year at 185lbs.
The professional fighters league awards a 500,000$ bonus for the fighter who is capable of winning the 3 fight single elimination tournament, making it one of the only sports performance based leagues in the sport of mixed martial arts. Cris Cyborg is the current featherweight champion of the PFL MMA and is a 17x Mixed Martial Arts Champion having won the Bellator MMA, UFC, Invicta FC, and Strikeforce belts along with her PFL MMA Championships.
