Amanda Serrano was already a star in boxing long before she partnered with Jake Paul and their MVP promotions, however it wasn’t until the team of Most Valuable Promotions got behind her that she really started to become THE FACE OF WOMEN’S BOXING.
Fighting Friday Night in Orlando Florida Amanda Serrano will put her IBF, WBO and WBA belts on the line against Brazilian Danila Ramos in a historic fight scheduled for 12 rounds of 3 minutes which is the same as the men in Championship fights. Serrano scored a million dollar payday for her fight against Katie Taylor and continues to push for equal pay, equal opportunity, and for women to have a choice.
For Cyborg she was the first female in mixed martial arts to have a fight with the same time limits as the men when California finally adopted 5 minute rounds for women in professional mixed martial arts ahead of her historic Strikeforce fight against Gina Carano. Prior to that Cyborg and other female fighters in the USA competed in 3 minute rounds under the commission’s sanctioning.
Cris who will be returning to the boxing ring Jan 19th for a 2 minute women’s MMA professional fight currently scheduled for 6 rounds of action, had this to say about Amanda Serrano’s fight this weekend, “She is such a pioneer. I know she is fighting a Brazilian, but I wish her luck and a strong performance. I wish I could be there in person, but I will be watching her fight on DAZN.”
