Alycia Baumgardner wants Boxing Superfight with MMA Champ Cris Cyborg

While Alycia Baumgardner currently finds her amidst a PED scandal and is allowing the finding to run it’s due course that didn’t stop the #1 ranked Super Featherweight in the world from calling for a superfight against MMA’s only Grand Slam Champion Cris Cyborg.  Champ Cyborg who responded to the Tyson Fury X Francis Ngannou fight on Twitter calling for a superfight against the face of women’s boxing Katie Taylor, had the her tweet rebroadcasted by the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC, WBO Superfeatherweight champion currently suspended by the Association of Boxing Commissions until her PED situation has been handled.

Cyborg who is currently 2-0 in professional boxing is a bit heavier in weight that Alycia Baumgardner who is one of the top fighters in the Detroit Michigan area and at only 29 years old is nearly a decade younger than Cris Cyborg with 15 professional fights and several amateur bouts on her resume.

For Alycia Baumgardner the fight would give her an opportunity to face a truly elite name in Women’s Combat Sports.  Cyborg with a large social following has over 4 million followers when combining platforms and would be a huge opportunity for any female boxer to build her brand and profile against.  With Alycia more than likely having to accept a catchweight bout, it would be an opportunity for both athletes to challenge themselves outside of their normal career challenges.
