Cain Velasquez finally sees freedom after being released on parole following a near 11 month prison sentence. According to multiple sources the former UFC Heavyweight Champion was released from the Soledad California correctional training facility this past weekend.
Velasquez was initially expected to be set free sometime in March however after participating in several activities and rehab programs he was able to earn time off his sentencing. Velasquez was originally sentenced to 5 years in prison after a no contest plea for attempted murder and felony assault charges from an incident Feb. 2022. Velasquez shot out of his vehicle during a hide speed chase pursuing Harry Goularte who was accused of molesting Velasquez’s son.

Cain became UFC Champion with a first round TKO over Brock Lesnar at UFC 121 before eventually retiring after a loss to Francis Ngannou in 2019.
