Money Moicano picks up another UFC win in Vegas

UFC Fight Night 272 took place in the Apex in Las Vegas and was headlined by “Money” Renato Moicano Carneiro who faced fellow teammate at American Top Team Chris Dunan.  Moicano used his superior grappling to pick up a 2nd round RNC victory to return to the win column after back to back defeats to Beneil Dariush and Islam Makhachev.

The Co Main event featured Virna Jandiroba earning a decision over the rising veteran Tabatha Ricci in a fight that puts her one step closer to a title shot.  Following the fight Virna called for a third matchup with Makenzie Dern who owns two decision victories over the fellow brazilian. New UFC standout Ethyn Ewin scored his second UFC victory over a previously undefeated fighter as he used a big bodyshot to take the victory over Rafael Estevam.  Abdul Rakham Yakhyaev scored a RNC over Brednson Ribeiro.

UFC newcomer Tommy McMillen picked up a victory over Manolo Zecchini with a knee to the body and punches, a teammate of Sugar Sean O’Malley, The UFC is expecting big things from McMillen. In perhaps the most violenet finish this year in WMMA Alice Pereira used a knee to KO Hailey Cowan with less than 40 seconds remaining in the second round.

Former Cyborg training partner Dione Barbosa improved her UFC record to 3 wins and 2 losses after a close call for an inadvertent soccer kick to the head.  Following a point deduction, the bout continued with Barbosa secuirng a decision victory.  Other winners incuded Treasean Gore, Darius Flowers, Alessandro Costa, Thomas Petersen, Jose Mauro Delano, and Kai Kamaka III all scored victories at UFC FN 272.
