A new promotional force officially arrives on the American boxing scene as MF Pro stages its first United States event, “Pugilist Revolution,” on Friday, June 19, at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California. Streaming live worldwide on DAZN, the event marks a major expansion for the company following its successful launch in the United Kingdom.
Headlining the inaugural U.S. card is a compelling Southern California showdown between hometown favorite Ashton “H2O” Sylve and former world champion Joseph “JoJo” Diaz Jr. in a scheduled 10-round super lightweight contest. The matchup pits one of boxing’s most promising young talents against a seasoned veteran looking to prove he still belongs among the sport’s elite.
At just 22 years old, Sylve enters the bout with a professional record of 13-1 with 10 knockouts. Once considered one of boxing’s brightest prospects, the Long Beach native is attempting to continue his resurgence following a setback against Lucas Bahdi in 2024. Since then, Sylve has rebuilt momentum and now receives a significant opportunity to make a statement in front of his hometown fans.
Standing across the ring will be Diaz, the former IBF super featherweight world champion and a veteran of numerous championship-level fights. Diaz brings a record of 34-9-1 with 15 knockouts and years of experience against world-class opposition. While recent results have been mixed, the 33-year-old remains a dangerous test for any rising contender.
The fight represents a classic boxing storyline: youth versus experience. Sylve is seeking to establish himself as a future title challenger, while Diaz is determined to remind fans and promoters that he still has plenty left in the tank. With both fighters known for their willingness to engage, fans can expect an entertaining main event when the opening bell sounds.
Beyond the headline attraction, MF Pro‘s first American event serves as a showcase for the promotion’s long-term vision. Company executives have emphasized their commitment to developing young talent and delivering competitive matchups that appeal to hardcore boxing fans. The promotion has already signed several promising prospects and hopes to establish itself as a significant player in the increasingly competitive boxing landscape.
The undercard features several emerging prospects, including undefeated talents looking to continue their rise through the professional ranks. Fighters such as David Lopez, J’hon Ingram, and other up-and-coming contenders are expected to use the platform to gain valuable exposure as MF Pro attempts to build the next generation of boxing stars.
The event also represents another significant boxing card for Southern California, a region that has produced countless champions and remains one of the sport’s strongest markets. By selecting Long Beach for its U.S. debut, MF Pro is placing itself directly in one of boxing’s traditional hotbeds.
Following a successful launch in London, MF Pro now turns its attention to the American market with hopes of creating a new platform for elite prospects and future world champions. If “Pugilist Revolution” delivers the action promised on paper, boxing fans may be witnessing the beginning of an important new chapter in the sport’s promotional landscape.
