With news that Leah McCourt has injured her rib training for Bellator 302 it now appears that top contender Sinead Kavanagh will be left without an opponent.  A fan favorite Sinead defeated Leah McCourt at Bellator Dublin back in 2022 despite suffering a terrible knee injury was not given a rematch with Cyborg following that victory.

Cyborg who faced Sinead in 2021 was victories by Ko in 92 seconds of the first round, however Sinead had gone 4-1 during her past 5 fights prior to her split decision loss to undefeated Sara Collins at Bellator 299. Sara Collins who is 5-0 has wins over former Invicta FC champion Pam Sorenson and a win over Sinead Kavanagh by split decision.

Cyborg who last fought MMA at Bellator 300 where she defeated Cat Zingano via 1st round KO took to X formerly known as Twitter to let Sinead know that she would be willing to accept a replacement  bout if it was offered for the Bellator 302 fight card in Belfast Ireland March 22nd.  Cyborg is currently scheduled to make her return to the professional Boxing ring April 27th at GREEN BAY FIGHT NIGHT, in Green Bay Wisconsin as the main event.

Cyborg accepted a bout against Kayla Harrison before Judo Kayla left to the UFC, and attempted to get a fight at Bellator 302 previously against Leah McCourt.  Ahead of an expected bout against PFL MMA Champion Larissa Pacheco, Cyborg has made it clear she wants to remain active in MMA competition without a long layoff before facing the Professional Fighter League’s Champion stating that Boxing is not MMA and that ‘Inactivity kills high level fighters’ in the sport of MMA.
