Cris Cyborg will return to the sport of professional boxing less than 15 days after her last performance. Following a 2nd round KO over #1 ranked female colombian boxer Karen Fernandez, Cyborg will return to the sport of Boxing to face the 21 year old Josefina Travecedo of Valenzuela.
Josefina Travecedo who is 3-3 in professional boxing with 2 KO vitories on her resume last fought against undefeated WIBA World Super Welterweight champion Destiny Day suffering a 5th round TKO in her attempt at taking the belt. Travecedo who was in attendance for Cris Cyborg’s 2nd round victory over Karen Fernandez had this to say about the matchup, “I believe Cyborg is all gas and no defense. In Boxing you have to have defense. I will show her this.”

Cyborg who is a 17x MMA World Champion and has captured world Championship belts in Mixed Martial Arts with PFL, Bellator, Invicta FC, UFC, and Strikeforce promotions is currently ranked as the #20th super welterweight in the world. Undefeated at 3-0 with 2ko’s Cris Cyborg is also 2-0 in Boxing exhibition bouts having wins over Simone Silva in Brazil and Aria Wild in London.
With a strong performance in her Boxing fight against Josefina Travecedo Cris Cyborg is expected to continue her climb up the boxing rankings. While there is no amateur boxing experience on Cyborg’s resume she enters the sport of Women’s Professional Boxing as one of the most accomplished strikers in MMA with more than 75% of her career victories coming by the way of KO or TKO. Fans are already calling for a mega fight between MMA Legend Cris Cyborg and Boxing All Time Great Cecilia Braekhus.
