Cris Cyborg teases fight with Bellator #1 contender Cat Zingano is next

With news breaking yesterday that Cris Cyborg has signed a multi fight contract with Bellator MMA it has lead fight fans to speculate that a matchup against #1 Contender Cat Zingano is finally going to be announced.  Zingano who is a legend in the sport of MMA has never won a Major World Championship in the sport despite her 13 years in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts and notable wins against Amanda Nunes, Miesha Tate, Carina Damm, and Raquel Pennington.

Zingano who was undefeated as a fighter before entering the USADA program struggled the UFC’s implementation of USADA testing going 1-4 while in the program, however she has witness a career resurgence after her 2020 signing to Bellator MMA having remained undefeated at 4-0 following the withdrawal of her participation in the rigid testing program.

Cyborg who has campaigned for a rematch with Amanda Nunes would have an opportunity of fighting a big name in the sport as in addition to her fights with Miesha, Nunes, and Pennington, she had a highly visible loss to Ronda Rousey  and decision defeated to top contenders Julianna Pena and Ketlen Vieira which many fans watched.

Cyborg who faced a Cat Zingano opponent in Gabrielle Holloway in her last professional boxing fight who is also a south paw like Zingano, teased of the potential matchup today on her social media, which comes just a day after Bellator MMA announced her Re-Signing. No News of the fight has been announced yet, however fans are anticipating this matchup next.
