Starting her 20th year of Combat Sports, Cris Cyborg has achieved a lifetime of accomplishments during her athletic career. A 5 promotional champion with 17 World Championship victories in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts, Cris Cyborg has won 2 IBJJF World Championships and once competed for the Lion Fight Muay Thai world Championship against Jorina Baars.
Currently undefeated in professional boxing, Cyborg who is set to fight Monday March 3rd in an International Boxing fight in Colombia spoke with MMA Junkie Mike Bohn and revealed that her team is in preliminary discussions with WBC World Boxing Champion and All Time great Cecilia Braekhus for a possible Boxing World Championship fight.
If Cyborg is able to capture the WBC Boxing World Championship, she would be the only athlete male or female to hold a world championship in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts and professional boxing simultaneously. While Holly Holm has held World Championships in both sports, she was not current in Boxing when she captured the UFC Championship.
