Father and Son rivalries can last for decades, which is the case of the 35 year feud ini boxing between Conor Benn and Chris Eubank which passed down to the Jr’s and capitulated with a rematch of their middleweight showdown from earlier this year.
Chris Eubank Sr stopped Nigel Benn in 1990 only for the pair to rematch to a draw in 1993. This year Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn attended a fight with 60,000 in the crowd as their son’s faced each other for the first time. In a historic fight Benn knocked down Eubank twice int eh final round who was able to survive the final seconds of an absolute boxing classic.
Benn who lost back in April during the first fight showed an increased ring control and was able to keep his emotions closer to his chest as he controlled the action using boxing rather than brute force. Benn used his feint and jab to break the distance and in the end his power showed to be too much.
Following the victory Nigel Benn took to calling out Barrios who is the current WBC champion before going on to mention RyanGarcia, Rolly Romero, and Devin Haney as possible opponents.
