May 27th the UFC will be heading to Liverpool and Scandinavian grappling sensation Gunnar Nelson was hoping to make it an impressive showing with his fight against Top 10 ranked Neil Magny. The main event will feature a showdown of Darren Till Vs Stephen Thompson who fought Tyron Woodley twice for the UFC Welterweight Championship.
Injuries are an unfortunate part of fighting, especially when an athlete like Gunnar Nelson had an opportunity to compete near his home fan base. 16-3 overall, Nelson is coming off a loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio after back to back wins following a decision loss to Demian Maia.
Niel Magny picked up a decision win over Carlos Condit at UFC 219, an event that was headlined by a Fight Of The Night 5 round decision victory for Cris Cyborg over Holly Holm. Prior to that Neil Magny lost to Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC 215 after having an impressive win over former welterweight champion contender Johnny Hendricks at UFC 207.
