Will Terence Crawford continue collecting belts? After dismantling errol spence earlier this year, Crawford is looking to get back into the boxing ring and it appears atleast for now that he will be stepping up in weight to face Sebastian Fundura as the WBO just ordered the first title defense for the young champion. Fundora captured the 154 championship belt and is now looking at a fight with 3 division champion Terence Bud Crawford.
Fundora won a bloody fight on the PBC premier on PRIME pay per view earning a split decision over the tough Australian Tim Tszyu, who probably could have had the fight stopped earlier in the bout due to a cut caused by a headbutt and retained his belt. “Please be advised that March 25, 2024 this committee granted sanction approval of the Tszyu/Fundora WBO title fight, santion approval was granted subject to the winner facing the mandatory challenger in the Jr. Middleweight division, Terence Bud Crawford within 180 days afte rthe Tszyu/Fundora bout.
Fundora is promoted by Sampson Lewkowicz who is the founder and head of Sampson Boxing LLC with TGB Promotions. Crawford who is 40-0 with 31 KO’s is the Ring 147 champion and pound of pound king enforcing his WBO super Champion rights to immediately challenge for a title in a separate weight division. Cyborg competed as a Co Main Event to Terence Crawford when the Boxing king made a return to Omaha Nebraska.
