This last UFC Fight Night was really exciting and fun, with two beasts who fought on the same night. In the main event, the fight of Calvin Kattar happened against Giga Chikadze and in the same event, the fight of Pereira vs. Salikhov also happened and had some interesting results.
In the main event, these two great fighters faced each other, this fight has been expected for a while since they are both really high-level fighters in the featherweight division. Calvin Kattar is an American professional MMA fighter. He is currently fighting in the Featherweight division for the UFC. He has been fighting professionally since 2007, Kattar has fought for EliteXC before. As of April 26, 2021, he is #5 in the UFC featherweight rankings. With a record of 22-5, “The Boston Finisher” has fought Max Holloway, Dan Ige, Jeremy Stephens and the list goes on.
And his opponent who is also known for his high striking skills Giga Chikadze is a Georgian MMA fighter and former kickboxer who fought in the featherweight division of GLORY and is also fighting in the featherweight division of the UFC. As of December 13, 2021, he is #8 in the UFC featherweight rankings. He has a record of 14-2 and has fought many really high-level fighters previously in his careers like Brandon Davis, Jammal Emmers, Irwin Rivera, Edson Barbosa, and many more too. Even though Giga had so many great techniques he still lost by decision and got dominated throughout the whole fight.
On the same night, Pereira vs. Salikhov is also fought the co-main event. Michel Pereira is a Brazilian Professional MMA fighter and has a record of 26-11-2 and has fought many huge fighters before like Diego Sanchez, Danny Roberts, and others. And his opponent is going to be Muslim Salikhov. Salikhov is a Russian MMA fighter and Sanda fighter who is now fighting in the welterweight division of the UFC. He has a record of 18-2 and has fought Francisco Trinaldo, Laureano Staropoli, Nordine Taleb, Ricky Rainey, and many more guys too.
For this last fight, the fight was canceled due to covid from one of the fighters and has been postponed.
