Joanna Jedrzejczyk will forever be known as “Joanna Champion” in the hearts of Fight Fans, however the former Strawweight UFC Champion has notified the UFC that she has officially ended the talks of a comeback fight after an initial retirement in 2022 following a loss the Zhang Well at UFC 275.
Joanna officially retires with a 16-5 professional record that includes 5 defenses of the UFC straw weight title. It is rumored that after an initial idea of a comeback an injury to the shoulder that will require surgery is what ultimately concluded those ideas.
After starting her career 14-0 Joanna faced Rose Namajunas and Weili Zhang twice losing both matchups while suffering a defeat against Valentina Shevchenko in between wins against Michelle Waterson Karate Hottie and Tecia Torres to go 2-5 during the final 7 fights of her career. With an MMA debut in 2012 and retirement in 2022 Joanna Champions 10 year reign of terror officially ends.
