Jeremy Stephens gets new UFC deal ahead of Des Moines, Iowa Fight Night

The UFC has brought back a fan favorite, even if it’s just for one swan song for the local legend.  Jeremy Stephens has been announced as the recent addition to the May 3rd UFC Fight Night was the promotion heads to Des Moines Iowa for the first time.

Headlined by Cory Sandhagen against Deiveson Figueiredo at Bantamweight the card also features Marlon Vera and Mario Bautista.  Announced alongside the Jeremy Stephens return against Mason Jones was the addition of Bo Nickel and former One Championship double champ RDR Reinier De Ridder.

The card will also feature Miesha Tate as she battles Yana Santos and Marina Rodriguez against Gilian Robertson.  Daniel Rodriguez will face Santiago Ponzinibbio, Junior Tafa against George Tokkos, Trevor Peek faces Jeong Yeong Lee, Serhiy Sidney gets a matchup with Cameron Smotherman, Montel Jackson will fight Daniel Marcos and the opening you tis Azamat Bekoev against Ryan Loder.

Stephens sited the UFC in 2021 after 6 consecutive defeats before signing with the PFL where he went 1-2 with a split decision win over Myles Price before transitioning to BKFC and Boxing. a Draw to Jose Aldo followed by a Dec loss to Chris Avilla followed by 3 BKFC wins over Jimmie Rivera, Bobby Taylor, and Eddie Alvarez got the UFC Veteran with a  15-18 promotional record re signed.
