Cris Cyborg made history as only the 2nd women in Brazil’s history to become a world champion in Professional Boxing joining Rosilete Dos Santos as WIBA World Champions.  WIBA has a long and historic history in Women’s Boxing with former WIBA champions including Laila Ali, Amanda Serrano, Holly Holm, and Ann Wolfe.  Cris Cyborg now ranked 3rd in the world as a professional boxer captured the WIBA World Championship with a 3rd TKO over Paulina Cardona of Colombia in the main event on Nacao Cyborg 15.

With the Victory, Cyborg also made another combat sports record becoming the first professional fighter to hold world championships in both a major MMA and a major Boxing title at the same time.  Cyborg who is the current PFL MMA Champion now holds the WIBA World Championship which makes her the only athlete male or female to hold a boxing and mma world championship simultaneously.

Cris Cyborg who entered the boxing ring with live gospel music playing, brought Goias country music star “Lancellote” to preform a live entrance song as Cyborg made her WIBA World Championship fight.  Following the Boxing World Championship victory Cris Cyborg made an appearance at the Legislative Assembly in the State of Goias Brazil to receive “honorary citizenship” for her commitment to community outreach and display in professional excellence around the world.  Cyborg visited the assembly bringing both her MMA World Championship and her Boxing World Championship belts for everyone to take photos and share a moment with the champ.
